Dear Richard,
|
This
fall we have had some pretty amazing
weather. Overall, it has been
fairly pleasant with the exception
our first "Ozark Tropical Storm"
(i.e., Hurricane Ike). We saw a
number of trees uprooted and lots of
limbs off of the old trees.
Fortunately our little town was
blessed and we saw no loss of lives.
This Halloween we saw well over 300
Trick or Treaters. We had parents
and kids all dressed up and
strolling the upper historic loop.
We saw the 2 smallest "Big
Pumpkins", twin sheriff's, a skunk
and of course Dorothy and Toto.
We have received some exciting
news. Our youngest son and his wife
will be honoring us with our 2nd
grandchild in June. We are so
delighted and really feeling like
Grandparents.

friendly shops to find those special

There are festivities downtown in

it's pretty neat.

Mardi Gras in Eureka Springs - ya'
gotta be here
|
Mardi
Gras like only Eureka Springs can
put on will be happening February
19th to 20th next year!!
In 2005 Hurricane Katrina brought to
town a New Orleans refugee who
decided to stay. He has been
organizing Eureka Spring's version
of Mardi Gras since arriving and we
think you'll love it.
Richard has been chosen as one of
the Royal Court for the upcoming
years festivities and he wants to
share that experience with everyone.
We will have a table at both the
Hookers and Jokers Ball and the
Coronation and Masquerade Ball and
will be creating special packages
which include tickets to those
events. Richard will be marching in
the Eureka Gras - Mardi Gras
Extravaganza parade and he is also
planning on serving his Chocolate
French Toast with Raspberry Sauce
for breakfast that weekend.
We'll send another newsletter in
about a month letting you know of
the special packages available so
you can join Richard in the fun!!
(He's like a kid, just so excited!)
